Interior Design FAQ
What materials do you work with?
LUX make the best use of granite, hard & softwood
timbers & laminates, stainless steel, glass, marble, ceramics, fabrics
and new composite materials to enhance your home or business premises.
What are the different styles?
Interior design typically falls into one of two categories
- classic or contemporary. There are many variations, styles and
themes within these categories and current fashions are also worth
considering. Ideally the style you choose should remain as flexible
and timeless as possible.
What brands do you offer?
LUX Interior recommend manufacturers of appliances,
fixtures & fittings based on quality and value. To see our current

Can you help with lighting?
LUX Interior will advise on low voltage, spots, dimmers
& discreet area lighting to enhance the individual aspects of
your design. Where possible we utilise natural daylight to make
your interior living space light and airy.
Can you help with heating?
For maximum comfort LUX Interior are happy to source
top quality heating products including designer radiators, towel
warmers, electric under-floor heating, fire surrounds or even solid
fuel burning stoves.
Can you provide luxury furniture?
LUX Interior have a number of preferred local suppliers
of high quality stock & bespoke furniture. We also source occasional
furniture from UK retailers, wholesalers & European suppliers.

Can you provide soft furnishings?
If requested, LUX are happy to suggest or source matching
towels, blinds, bedding, pillows, curtains & any other soft
furnishings required to complete the design.
Do you provide floor coverings?
LUX Interior supply & fit all kinds of floor
tiles and timbers and are happy to source rugs & mats if required.
For floor carpet we are happy to recommend a number of local suppliers.
Can you work with existing fixtures
and fittings?
LUX Interiors aim to highlight any natural, architectural
or antique features of your home or office. Less desirable aspects
such as pipes or wiring will be hidden behind access panels if required.
Should you wish to retain any existing furniture,
appliances, or decor then LUX will endeavor to incorporate these
into the new design.
What are your payment terms?
LUX Interior request a 40% deposit prior to ordering
your goods.
Subject to your satisfaction, the balance is due upon
completion of the project.

What is the fitting charge?
Typically the fitting charge will account for 10%
to 15% of the overall budget depending on the room & spec. Potentially
this would include electric's, plumbing, joinery, plastering, furniture
assembly and fitting.
If you already have a preferred builder or you are
a competent DIYer, LUX Interior are happy to provide a design-only,
or design and supply only service.
After placing the order when will installation
begin?
As furniture and appliances are often ordered from
top European suppliers delivery is typically within 6 to 8 weeks.
Installation will normally commence immediately following delivery
and inspection of all items.
How long have you been trading?
First established in 1999 as 'A Touch of Class',
Jason has earned a reputation for quality & value from hundreds
of satisfied customers. The LUX Interior brand was formed in 2004
to represent the business' expansion into all areas of interior
design.
What guarantees do you offer?
Appliances are supplied under the manufacturers standard
warrantee, although extended warrantee is normally available. LUX
Interiors workmanship is completed to the highest standard and is
therefore guaranteed for life. In the unlikely event that a problem
should occur due to poor workmanship, LUX Interiors will endeavor
to provide an immediate solution.
